| Should have had enough sense to post this when Chaz was still online. A good friend of mine is wanting to buy an Ovation guitar and I told him I'd ask you guys what a fair price for one woud be. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. | |

| Depends if he's looking to buy second hand or have it imported in. Either way, pricey purchase Sunny. Importing from the States I'd take a rough stab and say around the high $2000's. | |

| Hey just cause my Martin gets me hotter than any female I've met lol - well almost any female Nah anything between 2500 and 3000 is pretty reasonable. If going second hand just make sure he checks the fretboard for wear and tear and ensures it's the genuine article. Alot of fakes floating round out there that ain't worth 2 cents. If he's serious about it I know someone who will cut him a decent deal but I'd have a look for a second hand one first unless he is a serious muso. | |

| At the risk of offence, who in their right mind would pay that much for a guitar? I'm absolutely staggered! | |

| You'd be surprised how much people will pay for their passion luv. I collect guitars and the hobby has literally bankrupted me at times. It's what moves you, and you can't put a price on that. | |

| For a Legend - depending on the series - ie 1779, 1869 anywhere up to around $4500, the 1777 and 1866 are about $3500. Thats just top of my head - and with some searching you could probably get a better price. Getting out of Legends and into the Elite or Balladeer are a fair bit cheaper again and then their Applause series are usually sub $1000. The Academy I have is a clone of the Applause (korean rahter than American) - still a nice guitar but its starting to get a lot of fret wear and wood disintergration. I've always wanted a Legend myself so I might get one soon. (I also want a Harley but that may never happen either 8) ) | |

| I'm with Sullied here. Who on earth would spend the best part of a house deposit on a guitar or any other instrument for that matter? Although it does explain why musos are always broke. That's just ludicrous | |
