| Touch Base" is a phrase that always makes my skin crawl. It gives the mental picture of someone trying to seem important by talking like a power businessman, but they'll be talking about buying socks on sale at K-mart. "I'll have to touch base with the store clerk to see if socks are still 10 for $1.99."
