For anyone else having issues logging in

For some reason I've had alot of trouble logging in here (ok correct that - could log in, but couldn't do anything when I got here despite showing up as online).

Finally decided to attempt to log in using firefox rather than IE and hey presto, problem fixed. Luka tells me theres been a number of threads on the admin support forums with people have issues due to some maintenance problem so if any of you are reading this and having probs then try logging in with firefox in the interim. Goes as slow as a wet week but hey at least I finally got on

Unfortunately this issue is out of my control. There was a major overhaul of the servers by the powers that be a few days back and the admin support boards are chockers with people having similar issues. Left a post on there in the hope that there maybe an easy fix, and followed the advice of some other admins and tweaked a few things, but in the meantime Firefox is definately the way to go.

Know it slows things down considerably for those not using ADSL, but at least using firefox as your browser will allow you to access not only the boards but your mailbox. If I get any positive feedback from site support, I'll jump on it and see if we can get things back to normal asap.

I have firefox set as my default browser anyway, as it seems to work better with the likes of facebook. It does make getting into the chatroom here almost impossible though. Don't stress it Luka mate. As long as everyone can log in and joke around then we all appreciate your efforts.

I tried using both browsers and found like Dave I could log on using IE but I was here in name only. Showing as online, but couldn't post, access my messages or reset my password (yes, it's been so long since we last converged on here I had to reset AGAIN).
Might have something to do with my speeds though. Only have a small internet plan and I'm out of time so crawling along, so perhaps that may be the cause of my issues.

Also having some problems with the emoticons. For some reason if I try and insert them somewhere they move directly to the bottom of my post but if anyone else is having the same issue you can simply drag and drop them wherever you want them in your post, and simply remove the unneeded code.

eg.
javascript:emoticonp('')

simply remove everything but the colons on either side of the icon shortcut word (in this case bow) and there you have your icon.
