I'd have to toss up between Maiden, Metallica and Sabbath

Don't forget Pantera and Slayer

Judas Priest and a blast from the past, Venom. Metallica before they sold out and went all GQ

Venom; man that's going back a long way. Back when the San Fransisco scene was alive and thumpin.

Lamb of God are a favourite at the moment and still listen to alot of early Metallica and Van Halen. Quite into 3 Days Grace although they aren't a metal band.

That reminds me, have you worked out who did that song and posted a new one yet Dave?

I don't even know some of those bands :oops: . Like Metallica. Does Kiss class as Metal?

I'd put Kiss down as more glam rock than anything else but don't mind alot of their stuff and they are brillant live.

I'm an Iron Maiden gal from way back, I think Piece of Mind was the first album I went out and bought for myself - 'Still Life' has been played to death!
Just a note - Iron Maidens aren't too bad as a cover band - gotta be hard to compete with Bruce's vocals at the best of times. And the girls are fantastic musos

And then Motley Crue, Metallica, bit of Van Halen, Tygers of Pan Tang, Rose Tattoo, Accept (love Balls to the Walls lol) and AC/DC do it for me

All time fav is Def Leppard, but I never really considered them metal, more a rock band I guess. Thinkin back to the 80's they were considered hard rock, compared to the likes of Duran Duran and Depeche Mode.

Thank the Universe they were around to get me through my teenage years

Rush is on a different level to all those listed above, i thought I had come to a place of music lovers, Rush are a great 3 piece prog rock group. Lyrics and music that grows and evolves. Lyrics are thought provoking and not just about shagging women.

Hmm this is a hard one to call, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Deep Purple, SOD, Tool, Ozzy, (ok so I'm putting rock in the mix), Disturbed, Slipknot, Carnival, Incubus, Korn, Adema, Alice in Chains, Metallica, Anthrax, Apocalyptica, Boy Hits Car, Buckcherry, Opeth, NIN, Drowning Pool, etc etc.. :yeah:
